Job Title: Travel Writer & Content Builder

Location: Remote (Must be located in the USA)

⏳ Schedule: 3 fixed days per week, 9 am - 6 pm.

The role

We are seeking an exceptionally talented Travel Writer & Content Builder to join our remote global team. As a travel enthusiast yourself, you'll craft engaging custom itineraries connecting with Gen Z adventurers, content creators, and wellness retreat seekers. With creativity and versatility, you'll deliver original content that drives bookings and elevates the TourHero platform experience for our travellers, operators, and Heroes. This instrumental role will drive our business success and growth. You’ll also streamline the travel process by creating visually appealing Pre-Departure Packets to help travellers prepare for their trips.

Please note: This is NOT a traditional copywriting position. Writing copy is only 50% of the job! You’ll wear a lot of creative and data-driven hats in this role.

What You'll Be Doing

• Work independently on a variety of tasks, ranging from creating travel itinerary booking pages to editing current itineraries based on client feedback

• Produce 2 - 3 detailed travel itineraries per day (averaging 2,000 words each), turning around high-quality pieces within tight, same-day deadlines

• Log and update/edit existing itineraries as needed based on operator / client feedback

• Use yaml (basic coding CMS platform) to upload and edit itineraries

• Create visually appealing pre-departure PDFs in Canva for clients to use before and during travel

• Communicate cross-functionally, especially with Operations and Customer Experience teams, to ensure itineraries are accurate, engaging, and appealing

• Continuously ideate fresh concepts and source inspiring photography to elevate your content

About You

• You LOVE travel and understand the ins and outs of trip building, travel packages, etc.

• Exceptional command of English writing with impeccable grammar, spelling, and syntax

• Minimum 1+ years of content writing/copywriting experience; travel writing / trip planning background is preferred

• Know basic coding principles / yaml or willing to learn (this is a big part of the job!)

• Thrive in a remote environment with minimal supervision

• Thrive in a fast-paced environment juggling multiple tasks and tight deadlines

• Adores feedback and has a willingness to grow every day

• Self-motivated and proactive problem-solver with a continuous growth mindset

• Critical thinker with a high attention to detail
