While teaching experience is preferred, it is not a requirement; we are primarily seeking a passionate aspiring film and video professional with hands-on experience using several types of digital cameras, a firm grasp of lighting techniques, and knowledge of audio equipment. Your chief responsibility will assist an Instructor in answering questions and providing support during lecturing and labs. The teacher's assistant will also help grade student assignments and take attendance. Key Responsibilities

• Attendance Management : Ensure accurate attendance is recorded at the start of class and after breaks using Diamond SIS.
• Assessment Supervision : Proctor tests and quizzes in alignment with the instructor's syllabus to maintain academic integrity.
• Assignment Evaluation : Review and grade assignments, tests, quizzes, and evaluations according to institution rubrics as necessary.
• Grading Consistency : Maintain grading for rubrics, short answers, essays, and discussion-based assignments and projects within Canvas.
• Student Support : Check on students during open lab sessions, providing assistance and guidance as needed.
• Active Assistance : Address any questions or issues students have during instructional and lab sessions to ensure a smooth learning experience.
• Online Moderation : Support online interactions and moderate activities to enhance virtual engagement and maintain class structure.

Qualifications

• Educational Requirements :
• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• 1+ years of related experience OR education in a related field
• Experience Requirements :
• 1+ years of field-related experience per state and accreditation requirements

Preferred Skills

• Working knowledge of DaVinci Resolve for both editing and color grading
• Experience with Adobe Premiere and After Effects
• Experience with mirrorless and digital cinema camera systems
