Powder Coat Painter

We are seeking a skilled individual proficient in various painting techniques, including but not limited to powder coat, wet paint spraying, Cerakote, hydro dip, and several other techniques on diverse materials.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize various painting techniques such as powder coat, wet paint spraying, and Cerakote.
• Prepare materials and surfaces for painting, including sanding and blasting.
• Operate and set up CNC Haas equipment.
• Work in a paint booth environment and ensure clean and high-quality finishes.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Essential Skills:

• Expertise in painting and powder coating.
• Experience with industrial painting and spray guns.
• Proficiency in paint preparation and use of a paint booth.
• Ability to set up and operate CNC Haas machinery.
• Experience in sanding and blasting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Flexibility and willingness to perform tasks outside standard responsibilities.
• Ability to work independently with a growth mindset.
• Strong attendance record is crucial.
• Certification in related field preferred.
• Pride in work and ensuring clean welds.

Work Environment:

You will be working in a mid-size fabrication shop with approximately 30 employees. The facility includes paint, press brake, welding, and assembly processes. The company is expanding and has added 6-7 new customers in 2024. The shop operates with production welding and welding bays across two buildings, handling mild steel ranging from 20 gauge to 1 inch. Shifts are Monday to Friday, 6am-2:30pm, and 2:30pm-10:30pm, with potential overtime and Saturdays if needed. Enjoy two paid 10-minute breaks and a 20-minute paid lunch.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dunlap, TN.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
