About the Role
The Company is seeking a Head of School to lead and manage its loving and academically rigorous educational community. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the school's growth and change, particularly as it expands to accommodate a larger and more diverse student population. This role requires a talented educational leader with a strong background in the classroom, leadership skills, and administrative experience. The Head of School will be expected to embrace the school's mission and values, which include a commitment to social justice, academic excellence, and the holistic development of each student. While the school has a Jesuit affiliation, the Head of School is not required to be Catholic but should be dedicated to the concept of care for the whole person. Applicants for the Head of School position at the company should have a proven track record in education, with a preference for those holding an Illinois Principal PEL Administrative Endorsement or its equivalent. The role involves engaging with the community, building strong relationships with students and families, and leading a diverse and inclusive educational environment. The Head of School will also be responsible for the professional development and support of the teaching staff, as well as managing the school's various programs and partnerships. The ideal candidate will have a background that includes experience in Chicago schools and a deep understanding of the local education landscape. They should be detail-oriented, organized, and committed to the school's mission of providing a transformative educational experience for students from historically disinvested communities.
