Big Ridge Veterinary Hospital is a small-animal veterinary hospital located at 7400 WASHINGTON AVENUE in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. We are a two-doctor practice that is dedicated to providing high-quality and compassionate veterinary care for pets, primarily cats and dogs, in our community. Our team of dedicated veterinarians and staff work together to ensure the health and well-being of every patient and the satisfaction of every client that walks through our doors.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as a FRONT DESK RECEPTIONIST at Big Ridge Veterinary Hospital. As a Receptionist, you will be primarily responsible for client communication. This will include, but is not limited to: using the Avimark software, answering the phone, making appointments, accepting payments, responding to clinic text messages, responding to emails, making follow-up calls, and scanning documents, amongst other front desk duties. As front desk staff, you will be the FIRST line of contact between our clinic and our clients. As such, we expect you to present yourself in a PROFESSIONAL and COURTEOUS capacity, from your dress to your mannerism. First impressions are important!

Qualifications

• Strong Communication Skills
• Basic Knowledge of Veterinary Medicine & Procedures (preferred)
• Experience in the Veterinary Field (preferred)
• Experience as a Receptionist (preferred)
• Attention to Detail
• Excellent Organization & Multitasking Abilities
• Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment
• Ability to Handle Stress
• Ability to Mitigate Difficult Clients
• Ability to Work Well With Others
• Ability to Accept & Follow Direction

• Experience with Avimark is a Bonus
