Overview

A kind elderly couple in Brookline, MA, just outside of Boston, is seeking a live-out companion to work 4-5 days per week. The schedule can be flexible but weekends are required, and the other preferred weekdays are Wednesday and Friday. The couple is in their early 80's- one of them has mobility issues, and the other is experiencing the early stages of dementia, so someone with experience in those areas would be ideal. 

Responsibilities

• Light tidying throughout the day (there is a regularly scheduled housekeeper to handle most housekeeping) 
• Transporting the principals to errands, the grocery store, and medical appointments
• Keep the principals company during the day, doing activities and accompanying them on outings
• Meal preparation, and meal service 
• Drive the principals to CT or NY in the future to visit their family 

Qualifications

• Patient and compassionate
• Organized and tidy
• Comfort in the kitchen and willing to prepare and serve basic meals 
• Reliable and professional 
• Familiar with the Brookline/Boston area, and able to get the principals out and about

Requirements

• US work authorization
• Experience working with clients with dementia and mobility issues 
• Local to the Boston area 
• Driver's license and willingness to transport the principals in the provided vehicle 
• The ability to speak Spanish is highly desired, as the family's first language is Spanish 

Salary and Benefits

• $30-45/hr. DOE
