Slacks Messaging team owns the core experience used and loved by millions daily. Were looking for an experienced Director of Product Management to drive high-impact product strategy, execution, and innovation at the heart of the Slack experience: conversations. In this role, youll operate as a senior individual contributor and product leader to shape AI-powered experiences and partner with worldclass UX researchers, designers, engineers, and data scientists to ship improvements that make Slack feel simpler, smarter, and far less noisy.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the product strategy for Messaging conversations, staying grounded in real user needs and impact driven across millions of DAU.
  • Own end-to-end product outcomes for core Messaging surfaces, from discovery to launch and iteration.
  • Prototype, validate, and ship new messaging experiences that make it easier to focus, prioritize, and take action especially in an AIaugmented world.
  • Use a tight feedback loop of user research, metrics, and experimentation to inform sharp product decisions and kill ideas that dont deliver impact.
  • Inspire and align executives, crossfunctional partners, and adjacent product teams with clear narratives, crisp writing, and strong product judgment.
  • Partner closely with teams including Engineering, Design, Data Science, UX Research, and other Product Managers to move fast at scale without sacrificing quality, reliability, or trust.
  • Mentor other PMs on product craft, execution, and strategy, raising the bar for the broader Messaging product org.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of product management experience, including leading major initiatives on highusage consumer or directtocustomer products.
  • Generative AI integrated into your workflow and products you actively use AI to improve product thinking, prototyping, and deliverables, and ideally have shipped Generative AIpowered features.
  • Customerobsessed and research fluent you work with UX Research, qualitative insights, and customer feedback, and use that to place sharp, opinionated bets.
  • Highly datainformed you define the right metrics, design clean experiments, partner tightly with Data Science, and use results to double down or kill ideas without sentimentality.
  • Excellent crossfunctional leadership and communication proven ability to partner with Engineering, Design, DS, and AI/infra teams, and to influence at the executive level.
