Accounting Assistant Job Description:

• We are seeking a Accounting Assistant . This key team member must have solid technical experience and accounting background with emphasis on billing, reporting as it relates to all projects.
• In addition, special attention and focus on contract management, billing inquiries, bill rate modifications, payment status, all labor and project costs.
• A nice plus is Deltek software expertise, Vantagepoint or Vision or Ajera.
• ODOT experience is a plus.
• The Accounting Assistant will support executive management with the preparation and presentation, analysis and understanding of a wide variety of ad hoc reports for numerous operating and development projects.

Accounting Assistant Qualifications and Experience:
*Willing to train on some of the Bullet Points

• Ideally ample Project Accounting / Billing experience with a Constructions, Trades, or A/E Professional Services Firm or environmental, engineering , architectural or related expertise will suffice.
• Several years of project accounting billing experience.
• Familiar with Contracts, Contract Management, Contract Changes, and the ability to explain the aspects to other staff members so that adherence is consistent.

Accounting Assistant Summary Responsibilities:
*Willing to train on some of the Bullet Points

• Project initiation, budgets, tracking expenditure, invoicing, status reports, management of unbilled costs, purchase requisitions, percent complete updates, accounts receivable, etc.
• The individual will also work with Project Managers on contracts, subcontracts, and change order documents.
