Overview As a vCIO, you will serve as a strategic business partner for Managed IT clients, driving business transformation through technology. You will own the client lifecycle post-sale, focusing on aligning IT strategies with business goals and leveraging technology to fuel growth. You will act as a trusted advisor, using your understanding of technology to solve complex challenges, manage risks, and deliver value. Responsibilities Develop comprehensive IT strategies that support clients’ business goals, ensuring technology investments align with operational and growth needs. Manage client onboarding and maintain a forward-looking technology plan that adapts to evolving needs, keeping projects on track. Conduct Periodic Business Reviews highlighting client IT status, quarterly performance, and future planning aligned to organizational goals. Deeply understand clients’ business and technical landscape to offer tailored, strategic technology advice and ensure system cohesion. Identify potential risks in clients’ technology stack, including third-party systems, and create budget plans emphasizing cost-effectiveness and stability. Lead adoption of new technologies, ensuring systems work cohesively to streamline processes and foster innovation. Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure solutions align with business objectives and fit within the broader technology environment. Oversee all aspects of the client's technology ecosystem, ensuring effective integration and continuous optimization. Mentor and support other members of the Client Services program, especially senior-level vCIOs. Qualifications 10+ years of IT experience with leadership, technical account management, or strategy consulting, managing enterprise environments, and aligning technology with business goals. Strong communication skills for conveying strategies to C-level executives and translating technical concepts into actionable plans. Knowledge of enterprise product stacks, including Azure, VMware, Hyper-V, and networking. Understanding of Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, virtualization, and storage solutions. Experience guiding digital transformation initiatives and navigating evolving technology landscapes. Knowledge of security frameworks and tools like MDR/EDR, multi-factor authentication, and vulnerability management. Proven success in strategic IT planning, conducting Business Reviews, and aligning IT roadmaps with business objectives. Expertise in IT budgeting, risk management, and vendor management.
