Job Summary The Supply Chain and Logistics Manager is instrumental in ensuring the seamless delivery of products and services, enhancing customer satisfaction, and driving operational excellence. This role encompasses strategic planning, team leadership, process optimization, and performance management within the supply chain and logistics functions. Key Responsibilities Supply Chain and RMA Strategy Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives. Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions within the supply chain. Review existing technologies, processes, and practices, and implement best practices to enhance supply chain efficiency. Develop and implement Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) strategies, leading and overseeing the RMA function to ensure effective management of product returns. Procurement Partner with the Procurement team to monitor and evaluate supplier performance, taking corrective actions as necessary to maintain quality and reliability. Collaborate with Procurement to develop and implement inventory management strategies that optimize inventory levels and reduce carrying costs. Inventory Management Monitor inventory levels to ensure stock is maintained at appropriate levels, meeting customer demand without incurring excess costs. Track all physical inventory movements and adjustments to ensure inventory accuracy. Lead, monitor, and improve third-party logistics (3PL) vendors' performance to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products. Logistics and Distribution Oversee logistics and distribution processes to ensure the timely delivery of products to customers. Coordinate with logistics providers and other stakeholders to ensure efficient and cost-effective transportation of goods. Optimize distribution networks to improve delivery times and reduce costs, leveraging technology and data analytics to enhance decision-making. Risk Management Identify potential risks within the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate those risks. Monitor supply chain trends and regulations to anticipate potential disruptions and adjust strategies accordingly. Team Leadership Lead and manage a team of supply chain professionals, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities to foster a high-performance culture. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration within the team, encouraging innovation and proactive problem-solving. Performance Metrics Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain. Prepare and present reports on supply chain performance to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement. Compliance and Sustainability Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including environmental and safety requirements. Promote sustainability initiatives within the supply chain, such as responsible sourcing and waste reduction. Take responsibility for annual audits, achieving required standards and reporting outcomes to stakeholders. Special Requirements Regular participation in morning and evening calls to coordinate activities with team members and stakeholders in different time zones. This requires flexibility and effective time management to ensure seamless communication and collaboration. Depending on regional needs, occasional onsite customer visits and travel may be required to support supply chain operations and build strong customer relationships. During cycle count stock takes and other field activities, the role may require: Walking long distances across large facilities. Standing on hard surfaces for extended periods. Bending, squatting, kneeling, and lifting heavy objects greater than 50 lbs (23 kg), as necessary. Required Skills and Experience Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in supply chain and logistics management, including at least 3 years in a leadership or line management role within fast-paced environments. Line management. Prioritising and balancing time among multiple activities. Leading a portfolio of concurrent projects delivering business outcomes on-time and on-budget. Project planning, project management, risk management, change management with outcomes focused on execution, speed, and budget management. Managing time effectively and delegating tasks to meet deadlines. Troubleshooting, problem solving, and critical thinking skills. Organized and a meticulous attention to detail. Continuous improvement mindset and an openness to innovative approaches and solutions to enhance the customer experience. Demonstrate good judgement using facts. Communicating both written (grammar and punctuation) and verbal. Natural desire to help people. Building strong relationships with customers and with team members. Handling customers with patience, tact, and empathy. Intermediate level with Microsoft Excel, i.e., pivot tables, equations, etc. Intermediate level with Oracle NetSuite is preferred or equivalent ERP work experience.
