Salary: $14-$16 Hourly

Summer 2025

Working under the direct supervision of the Summer Camp Director, this seasonal position offers a great experience for those looking to work with children ages 4-13 in a fun and high energy environment. You will also have the opportunity to be scheduled for pool parties under the supervision of the Events Director. Opportunities for yearly employment may be available with our other programs.

Requirements:

• The candidate must have working papers if under the age of 18 and be over the age of 15 at the start of their employment.
• Lifeguard certification from an accredited program should be obtained on your own and is required PRIOR to the start of employment.
• Strong swimming skills and confidence are essential.
  

Duties of the Lifeguard include:

• Opening and closing the pool each day according to scheduled hours.
• Educating swimmers on safe behavior and assisting swimmers learn appropriate conduct.
  
• Conducting a basic swim test at the start of each week (and then as needed) for each camper to determine swim competency.
• Closely monitoring all activities related to the pool area, identifying any safety issues throughout shift.

• Directing swimmers out of water in dangerous conditions.
• Closely monitoring weather reports to make sure swimmers remain safe.
  
• Maintaining a clean pool environment and reporting any issues to the Pool Area Manager or Summer Camp Director.
  

This Summer position will include Monday through Friday hours at our Summer Camp and during late afternoon swim lessons. You will also have the opportunity to work weekends during swim parties.
