Overview Join to apply for the Sr Manager Organizational Development role at The Home Depot Position Purpose: Partner with business leaders and HR teams to lead the facilitation, design, and implementation of organizational development solutions that align with the business strategy. Act as an internal consultant to assess gaps between the current and desired state of the organization, advise on actions to drive outcomes, and support continuous improvement through post-implementation reviews. Responsibilities include business strategy refinement (as needed), identifying success metrics, benchmarking, driving organization design initiatives, managing change impacts, facilitating adoption, and monitoring outcomes. Key Responsibilities 20% - Business Strategy & Stakeholder Partnership: Serve as a consultant and trusted partner to business leaders and HR Business Partners. Build relationships to align evolving business strategies with organization structure, leadership, and culture; design and facilitate events (e.g., workshops, leadership team offsites) to ensure robust alignment and planning. 50% - Organization Design & Planning: Lead organizational design initiatives including team alignment, discovery (qualitative and quantitative analysis of structure, work, processes, etc.), stakeholder feedback, and design of future-state organizations. Support benchmarking and develop materials such as organizational structures/charts, operating/governance models, and process maps. 20% - Change Management & Communications: Conduct change impact assessments and create communication plans to support leadership and associate transitions. Assess leadership readiness for change and coordinate with partner teams to enable smooth implementation. 10% - Implementation & Adoption Support: Facilitate adoption of new structures and ways of working, lead workshops, and coordinate learning. Track post-implementation success metrics and partner with the business and HR to adjust plans as needed. Reporting and Work Context Direct Manager/Direct Reports: Reports to Senior Director, Organizational Effectiveness. Number of Direct Reports: 0 Travel Requirements: Typically overnight travel less than 10% of the time Physical Requirements: Mostly sedentary with occasional light movement Working Conditions: Indoor, with infrequent unpleasant conditions Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Must be eighteen years of age or older. Must be legally permitted to work in the United States Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Organizational Development, I/O Psychology, HR, Business, or related field Experience in organizational development, internal consulting, or HR strategy roles Proven success leading organizational design and change initiatives in complex, matrixed environments; certification in Organization Design a plus Experience facilitating large-scale workshops and executive meetings Strong facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and change management skills (e.g., PROSCI or similar) Experience with organizational benchmarking and using data to drive improvements Ability to influence senior leaders and drive adoption of new ways of working Proficiency in organizational design tools (e.g., Visio, OrgVue, Lucidchart) and developing role frameworks and process maps Education & Experience Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, I/O Psychology, HR, Business, or related field Minimum Years Of Work Experience: 8 years Competencies Consulting and business mindset; strong sense of urgency and drive for results Ability to develop practical solutions for complex organizational challenges Ability to influence executive leaders and align OD strategies with business goals Exceptional written and verbal communication and strong facilitation skills Project management capabilities with ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities Discretion with confidential information; strong problem solving and critical thinking Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Job Details Seniority level: Not Applicable Employment type: Full-time Job function: Human Resources Industries: Consumer Services #J-18808-Ljbffr The Home Depot
