Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
Location: Tracy, CA 95376
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week
Caseload: 25–30 students, grades TK–12
Setting: In-person, school-based (assigned to one location )
Target Start Date: July 30th
Compensation Rate : $70-$75/h DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE
Job Summary:
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) will play a vital role in supporting the personal, social, and intellectual development of students by improving their speech and language skills. The successful candidate will provide individualized therapy services, participate in student evaluations, and collaborate with educators, families, and community organizations to ensure optimal student support.
Essential Functions:Develop speech and language skills to promote overall student development.
Provide a positive and responsive learning environment.
Ensure compliance with district and cooperative guidelines.
Communicate effectively with students, staff, families, and community members.
Collaborate with community agencies and organizations.
Operate required equipment appropriately.
Adapt productively to change and handle other assigned responsibilities.
Advocate for the value of education and uphold the school and cooperative's mission and vision.
Assist in early detection and prevention of educational challenges.
Monitor and assess student progress to support timely interventions.
Conduct screenings and evaluations for speech, language, and hearing needs.
Participate in comprehensive student evaluations and IEP development.
Provide therapy and consultative services based on IEPs.
Collaborate with school personnel and families to support student success.
Modify curriculum and implement classroom strategies to meet student needs.
Refer families to external support services when needed.
Uphold professional standards and maintain documentation as required.
