SUMMARY:

Responsible for the final preparation and shipping of finished products and parts. Prepare and ship finished products and repair parts to include packing, labeling, scheduling pickup, etc., in accordance with shipping orders, and completion of appropriate shipping records. Previous m anifest experience is required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follows procedures for control and distribution of finished products to ensure that only those products approved for release are delivery.
• Inspect shipments to confirm correct delivery address, proper packaging, prepare shipping documentation and gather/scheduler freight quotes.
• Ensure proper packaging and labeling of outgoing shipments.
• Utilizes systems and shipping software for effectiveness and efficiency.
• Keep shipping areas in a clean, orderly and safe manner.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

CORE SKILLS:

• Ability to properly read and understand shipping instructions, guidelines, and lawful compliance.
• Detail-oriented and consistent.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office or related software and systems as necessary to complete logs or records.
• Works well as both a productive member of a team and individually.
• Good ability in mathematics, reading, and writing.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Demonstrated positive attendance record.
• Shipping and receiving experience a plus.
• Forklift certification desired.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Ability to walk, kneel, bend and use a ladder or stool.
• Ability to drive a forklift or use a pallet jack as required.
• Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Must wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
