JOB SUMMARY :
The Sr. Mechanical Engineer leads research and design of components and mechanical systems for packaging electronic product assemblies used in harsh environments. Applications require knowledge of plastics, injection molding, surface design, displays, user interface, sealing techniques, IP ratings, thermal management and structural module design. The employee will create 3D model files of mechanical housings, components, tooling and fixtures; create 2D manufacturing drawings; work closely with various component suppliers; and performs other duties as assigned. A hands-on approach and basic fabrication skills is critical to success in this role.
