Job Description
We are seeking an Research Assistant to become an integral part of our team! You will assist our Research Coordinators with all duties related to Clinical Research.
Previous Optometry/Ophthalmology tech experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
Assist in conducting the clinical study according to FDA regulations and guidelines
Utilize and maintain organizational tools to conduct the study accurately and in compliance with GCPs
Protect the rights, safety and welfare of the study subjects
Be knowledgeable of the Sponsor’s protocol
Recruit and screen potential study subjects according to an IRB approved script that includes the protocol’s inclusion and exclusion criteria
Schedule study subject visits and perform protocol defined activities completely and accurately
Maintain adequate and accurate case histories for each subject and record observations in the source document and Case Report Form (CRF) in a timely fashion
Assign study subject numbers and maintain accurate and complete records of the receipt, administration and return of clinical supplies
Maintain required documentation in the study regulatory files
Assist in preparing for any upcoming sponsor or FDA audit as needed
Attend team meetings and update progress on ongoing clinical trial activities
Perform any other responsibilities as directed by supervisor
