Powder Operator Position

A union manufacturing company is seeking Powder Operators to join their team. You must be flexible to work first or second shift.

Duties:

1. Set-up powder guns with proper gun tips, controls, and reciprocators per the instructions
2. Adjust the width of the bake oven and turn on or off elements of the oven based on routing or instructions
3. Use thermometer to determine temperature of painted parts, monitor proper pH, titration levels, pumps, and spray nozzles in washer, and reports problems to supervisor
4. Put proper powder into paint hoppers and check parts as they are being painted for conformance to quality standards
5. Perform manual powder work when needed using portable handgun, cleans guns, booths, and hoses for each color change
6. Take inventory of powder, chemicals, etc., handle clean-up activities, turn washer on/off for breaks, lunch, and at end of shift
7. Turn on oven at beginning of shift and shut down at end of shift, clean mesh screens at least once per day
8. Deliver product as needed to new location, recording location as appropriate
