CSI Sports is seeking a Broadcast Post-Production Assistant who can grow into a key member of the production team. This position in our Jersey City office will report to the VP of Production and will utilize expertise with Adobe Creative Suite as we develop new content for domestic and international channel distribution as well as for digital platforms. The candidate must have a strong communication skills, knowledge of digital tools, a passion for combat sports (especially boxing), a creative eye and work well in both an individual and team environment.
The Production Assistant will:
· Work with Production and Social Media team in organizing files, videos, etc.
· Interacting with fighters, trainers, fans, etc.
· Create timelines in Adobe Premiere featuring program footage, b-roll, graphics and interview clips
· Edit footage according to scripts, formats & production guidelines
· Create and edit graphics for broadcast & digital using Adobe After Effects & Photoshop
· Edit & post Daily News segment on social media platforms
· Create tag pages for promos & assist in the creation of promos
· Create digital content for various platforms including Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, etc.
· Deliver final productions to the required specifications
· Assist in writing promo scripts, show scripts & voice over notes
· QC shows before they air to ensure there are no technical/creative issues
· Log shows creating rich metadata to maximize its value on various media assets.
· Attend Live Events & media week events including public workouts, weigh-ins and press conferences to conduct interviews and obtain footage
· Monitor live events to ensure flawless execution & edit live highlights for posting on social media
Qualifications and Experience
· Excellent oral and written communication
· Experience editing & creating graphics for a post-production house or network
· Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop) a plus
· Must have knowledge of the sport of boxing
· Enjoy logistics and the support of event/show production
· Have edited shows & promos for broadcast & digital a plus
· Know how to normalize audio, create a mix minus & edit shows to different specs a plus
· Very familiar with social media platforms such as Facebook, X, Instagram, and TikTok
· Works well in fast-paced and changing environment
· Strong computer skills (MS Office, etc.)
· Capable of handling various responsibilities and multiple projects simultaneously
· Bachelor’s degree (Communications, TV/Film Production, or related field of study) or equivalent practical experience
· Able to work typical production hours to hit deadlines and/or work on live events that will include nights, weekends, etc. as needed
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
