Job Description

Patient Care Technician (PCT)

Our client, a global healthcare company specializing in dialysis care, is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join their team. As a PCT, you will be part of the Dialysis Department supporting Registered Nurses. The ideal candidate will have compassion, technical skills, and strong communication abilities which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Omaha, NE

Pay Range: Up to $32/hr

What's the Job?

  • Provide direct patient care for assigned patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
  • Assist licensed nurse with pre and post dialysis patient assessments and their documentation.
  • Monitor and document dialysis treatment parameters.
  • Assist with all emergency operational procedures, including initiating basic CPR measures in the event of cardiac and/or pulmonary arrest.

What's Needed?

  • Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting or related facility preferred but not required.
  • Successfully complete a training course in the theory and practice of hemodialysis.
  • Successfully complete CPR Certification.
  • High school degree or G.E.D.
  • Education in physical sciences and/or training in laboratory techniques preferred.
