What You Can Expect

• Performs delegated patient care activities as directed by the RN or medical staff upon completion of documented training, in a manner that is aligned with age specific needs of the patient to ensure safe, accurate and high-quality treatment of patients.
• Documentation of patient care.
• Participate in organization, cleaning and safety of unit.
• Maintains unit supplies, prepares patient rooms and medical records, enters charges, and answers the multi-line telephone to assist in the safe and efficient operation of the unit.
• Answers questions about treatment plan within the expected scope or refers questions to RN.
• Make rounds and respond promptly to patient requests.
• Assist in the admission, transfer and discharge of patients as directed.
• Will be required to float to different units depending on staffing needs throughout hospital.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED -Preferred
• 1 year Prior experience in a healthcare related field- Preferred
• Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association within 90 Days -Required
• 6 months of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a hospital setting- Required

What Are Your Options

Option I

• Must work one weekend per month (days can be split up)
• Potential float to all units and work in capacity needed as a Aide, HUC or patient companion - We will cross train you!
• Work one major, one minor Holiday

Major Holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years

Minor Holidays: Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day

Option II

• You Choose! 12, 24 or 36 hours per week with assigned 2 consecutive shifts every 3rd or 4th weekend!
• Work one major, one minor Holiday plus one additional non Holiday
• Days - Halloween, Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve
• Nights - Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day

Travel Is Required: Up to 20%
