Brunel is recruiting Operations Planning Technicians to wornk in Midland, TX for initially 1 year contract with our major Oil and Gas client.

Candidate will serve in a high-level support role for 100+ wells and several ongoing projects annually, maintain and update project calendars and timelines, work closely with multiple teams to align project deadlines and milestones.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage a centralized project database.
  • Develop tools and processes for tracking and reporting project status.
  • Regularly use Smartsheet to create dashboards and trackers.
  • Use Power BI to generate and maintain reporting visuals.
  • Collaborate with 5–6 operating advisors on project tracking.
  • Assist with light cross-team tracking responsibilities.
  • Support the transition of projects from planning to operations.
  • Ensure startup data is corrected and properly updated for accounting use.

Skills & Tools:

  • Smartsheet (dashboard creation and maintenance)
  • Power BI (reporting and visualization)
  • Microsoft Excel (advanced level)
  • Preferred:
  • Oil & Gas or Refinery background (for easier topic understanding)
  • Ability to independently build and improve tracking/reporting systems
  • Strong communication and coordination skills

Experience:

  • 3–7 years in a relevant tracking, reporting, or planning support role
  • Familiarity with field or operational project environments is helpful
