National Field Service Electrician

Join US Distribution as a National Field Service Electrician in our Parts and Service division, an integral part of the Joy Global Surface Mining family. This role is pivotal in ensuring reliable and efficient operations for our valued customers across the nation. As a member of our Field Service business unit, you will have the opportunity to leverage your technical expertise and problem-solving skills in a dynamic and rewarding environment.

About the Role

As a National Field Service Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and components on mining equipment and machinery. Your primary focus will be on delivering top-notch service to our customers, ensuring that their equipment is safe, reliable, and performing at optimal levels. This position involves a significant amount of travel to various job sites, working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on complex systems in the field.

• Install and configure electrical components and systems in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations.
\n
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance to improve equipment performance and reliability.
\n
• Document service work and maintain accurate and timely reports on job status and completed tasks.
\n
• Provide exceptional customer service, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
\n
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to address complex problems and implement effective solutions.

• Stay current with industry trends, technology, and best practices to enhance personal and team performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in electrical systems or equivalent experience strongly preferred.
\n
• Proven experience in industrial electrical systems, especially in a field service capacity.
\n
• Strong understanding of electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations.
\n
• Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with a focus on customer service.
\n
• Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
