The Meat Cutter/Butcher

The Meat Cutter/Butcher assists with carcass processing and meat packaging. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Butchering animal carcasses using knives, hand saws and blades, and other meat cutting equipment
• Daily inspection of carcasses
• Confirming requirements federal bacterial and antimicrobial completion of processed meat
• Packaging of meat products
• Other duties as assigned

Applicant qualifications:

• Must be able to lift 50-100 lbs and work in a refrigerated environment
• Ability to safely handle and use sharp knives, hand saws, saw blades, and meat process equipment
• Willingness to follow food safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment
