A-Line Staffing is now hiring a Material Handler – 3rd Shift in Covington, GA. The Material Handler – 3rd Shift will be responsible for the safe and accurate loading, unloading, and movement of products within the distribution center. This position requires experience with material handling equipment and working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This is a full-time, contract-to-hire position. Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM (3rd Shift) Compensation: $17.50 per hour + $1.50 shift differential (Total: $19/hr) Benefits available to full-time employees after 90 days 401(k) with company match available after 1 year of service Location: Covington, GA Material Handler – 3rd Shift Responsibilities: Pick, pack, and process customer orders using RF technology and proper labeling Build pallets, scan, retrieve, and position completed orders for shipment Re-palletize products and transport pallets using material handling equipment (MHE) Load/unload inbound and outbound shipments using warehouse management systems (WMS) Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following SOP and work instructions Follow safety, security, and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) Assist with cross-training and act as backup in other warehouse areas as needed Requirements: High School diploma or GED Minimum 2 years of relevant warehouse experience Experience operating material handling equipment such as order pickers, reach trucks, counterbalance forklifts, and dock stockers Ability to obtain forklift certification Strong verbal communication skills and ability to work well with others Ability to work in a fast-paced, metrics-driven distribution environment Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work near moving mechanical equipment Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Cherry Picker and Reach Truck Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and regulations Physical Demands: Frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, lifting, pushing/pulling, and use of hands/fingers Occasional climbing and exposure to moving mechanical equipment If you are interested in this Material Handler – 3rd Shift position, please contact Austin Faris at 586-710-7941 or afaris@alinestaffing.com.
