PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

At Carlson-AirFlo, we attribute much of our success to our employees. We are searching for a highly qualified marketing and digital content specialist to join the AirFlo team. In this role, you will use your communication, image editing, and web analytics skills to increase our audience engagement, primarily through blogging, creating content for our website, and contributing to our social media platforms.

The position offers a variety of responsibilities and professional growth. This individual will contribute to activities to promote the AirFlo brand and support the sales channel and business objectives. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with a wide range of marketing functions including writing, editing, and developing content. This position includes industry research, review of industry news and publications, digital and social media, website and print, competitors’ websites and social media postings. The individual must be an organized multitasker able to handle many diverse projects at once and meet tight deadlines.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage outbound marketing to build brand identity and online presence through creation and dissemination of multimedia content online.
  • Develop content that grows online community, and tracking community growth.
  • Manage the distribution of content through monthly e-newsletter, targeted campaigns, social media platforms – X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn, YouTube – write relevant content for website blog, video scripts, sales collateral, industry articles and press releases, success stories of projects.
  • Create engaging, entertaining, and educational blog posts for multiple grocery vertical segments.
  • Responsible for planning, managing shared marketing calendar with scheduled distribution of progressive marketing content targeted to AirFlo target segments to achieve maximum awareness, demand and preference for AirFlo products. Research and collaborate with Sales and other departments to present content ideas and goals.
  • Lead creative development with aim to improve brand awareness, attract new customers, and retain existing ones. Write compelling copy, capture and edit photos/videos, and create graphic designed content in-line with AirFlo branding, messaging, and tone formatted to various distribution platforms including email, press, social media, blogs, web pages, ads/promos, product and merchandising brochures, high-quality branded sales presentations, case studies, success stories, customer reviews, and other agreed marketing programs.
  • Develop product launch marketing materials and schedule publication sequence for each release in marketing calendar. Determine if ad/press spend allotted for campaign and determine how to allot. Coordinate with Marketing Manager (Product Focus) and NSMs to capture photos/videos for new products and to learn unique selling points and features of new products to develop copy. Provide product sheet/webpage copy to Product Manager.
  • Drive SEO and SEM best practices, analyze performance indicators to measure and monitor effectiveness of created content.
  • Update website – post new product with content and video, upload testing documentation, analyze and optimize meta descriptions, titles, landing pages for search terms and semantic search phrases that will drive customer engagement.
  • Maintain health of website – report on organic search results, monitor page ranking to improve content with keywords and meet audience readability level, remove toxic backlinks, and fix broken links.
  • Produce sales/marketing presentations to support National Sales Managers, Independent Rep quarterly webinars, set up online meetings in cooperation with sales and marketing teams.
  • Duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA in Marketing, Mass Communication, Graphic Design, Journalism, English, Business or equivalent schooling and experience.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in marketing, content writing, SEO execution, and optimizing Google AdWords campaigns.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Strong knowledge of website analytic tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Experience with content management software – Word Press (preferred), website/landing page design and page optimization.
  • Working knowledge or HTML, CSS, PHP, or JavaScript experience.
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite® (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Premiere Pro, Apple Final Cut Pro®) or equivalent.
  • Strong time management skills, self-motivation, marketing creativity, detail orientation, solution-orientation, commitment to meeting deadlines and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Industry experience marketing in the retail industry is helpful.
