Position Overview

The Marketing Assistant will support the marketing team in a wide range of initiatives designed to increase brand visibility, drive sales, and strengthen customer engagement. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a passion for marketing, storytelling, and the seafood industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Content Creation: Assist in creating and scheduling engaging content for social media, commercials, and the company website, ensuring consistent, high-quality brand messaging.
• Social Media Management: Monitor social platforms, engage with our online community, and create and execute social media campaigns.
• Market Research: Track emerging trends and competitor activity and identify opportunities to strengthen market presence.
• Event Coordination: Support the planning and execution of trade shows, marketing initiatives, and company events.
• Email Campaigns: Assist with the design, deployment, and performance analysis of email marketing campaigns.
• Sales Support: Develop marketing collateral and promotional materials to support the sales team in expanding customer reach and increasing revenue.
• Analytics and Reporting: Collect and analyze marketing data to evaluate campaign performance and recommend improvements.
• Administrative Support: Schedule meetings, organize marketing assets, and maintain databases to support efficient day-to-day operations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, and/or 1–2 years of relevant marketing experience (experience in food distribution or the seafood industry is a plus).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience creating and scheduling content across major social platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok).
• Comfortable and confident appearing on camera.
• Basic understanding of brand voice, audience engagement, and digital storytelling best practices.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage deadlines effectively.
• Proficiency in graphic design and photography.
• Proficiency with design and video editing programs such as Canva, Adobe Suite, CapCut, or similar platforms.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and eager to learn.
• Professional, dependable, and maintains a positive attitude.
• Passion for seafood and sustainability is strongly preferred.
