What You'll Do As a Maintenance Technician, you'll be responsible for: Troubleshooting and repairing HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, boilers, and pool equipment Managing unit turnovers, completing work orders, and coordinating vendor services Performing routine maintenance, safety inspections, and preventative care Assisting with budget planning for maintenance and capital projects Responding to emergency repair requests and participating in the on-call rotation Supporting nearby Oakbrook properties when needed What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is: Approachable, accountable, and demonstrates effective communication Builds trust with team members and residents to create strong professional relationships Reliable, self-motivated, and able to manage time effectivelySkilled in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance Safety-conscious and committed to quality Preferred Qualifications Experience in property maintenance or a related field Familiarity with residential building systems High school diploma or GED (trade certifications a plus) Valid driver's license Personal hand tools required Why Oakbrook?
