Part time\contractor position

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Low Voltage Technician with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage systems. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, test, and maintain low voltage systems including but not limited to:
  • Security and surveillance systems (CCTV)
  • Access control systems
  • Structured cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optics)
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Perform system diagnostics and repairs
• Ensure compliance with local and national electrical codes
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other technicians

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in low voltage systems
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
• Familiarity with tools and equipment used in low voltage installations
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred Certifications

• BICSI Installer or Technician
• NICET Certification
• OSHA 10/30
