Job Overview

Northeast International, a leader in global procurement, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will oversee the efficient movement of goods through the supply chain and ensure that all logistics operations run smoothly and effectively. This role requires strong organizational skills, the potential to learn and utilize our priority cargo management software, and the ability to collaborate with various teams to meet high demand planning objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage logistics operations, including tracking, transportation, and arrival confirmation.
  • Oversee demand planning by maintaining, organizing, and logging traffic daily.
  • Update office reports daily and submit weekly reports.
  • Collaborate and communicate with truckers, rail operators, customs, and customers to ensure cargo is being transferred and delivered on time.
  • Review and maintain accurate documentation related to shipping and receiving.
  • Use our proprietary platform to track and trace containers.
  • Assist in other office duties and operations as needed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in logistics coordination or a similar role within a warehouse, distribution center, or other logistics environment.
  • A strong work ethic combined with self-motivation.
  • The ability to adapt in an ever-changing environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise with various stakeholders.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a small team environment.
  • Desire to cross-train to be a contributing member of our team.
  • The ability to work on-site Monday through Friday.

Experience

  • 3 years of experience working in logistics
  • Customs experience preferred
  • US import and export experience

Education

  • A college degree in logistics is preferred but not required. Experience will also be taken into consideration.

Pay Range

· Annual salary of $55K–$67K, based on experience
