Job Description:
The Lifestyle / Life Enrichment Coordinator plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life and promoting the overall well-being of residents in our Independent Senior Living community. This position requires creativity, compassion, and a strong commitment to providing meaningful activities and programs that cater to the diverse interests and needs of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement a wide range of engaging and stimulating activities, events, and programs for residents to promote socialization, physical activity, mental stimulation, and emotional wellness.
2. Collaborate with residents, family members, and staff to identify interests, preferences, and needs, and incorporate their feedback into the planning and execution of programs.
3. Coordinate and schedule outings, lectures, classes, games, fitness activities, cultural events, and other opportunities for residents to explore new interests and maintain existing hobbies.
4. Recruit and train volunteers to assist with activities and events, and collaborate with local organizations, businesses, and entertainers to enhance the variety and quality of programming.
5. Maintain accurate records of resident participation, feedback, and program outcomes, and use this data to continually evaluate and improve the effectiveness of activities.
6. Serve as a resource and advocate for residents, providing support, encouragement, and guidance in navigating the challenges and transitions associated with aging.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with seniors in a similar role
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize responsibilities effectively
- Demonstrated creativity, flexibility, and enthusiasm for developing innovative programming
- Knowledge of senior housing regulations and industry trends
