Job Description

General Responsibilities:

Maintain office building, or other commercial building in clean and orderly condition based on the scope of work. The roving cleaner is responsible for cleaning and maintaining assigned areas as needed, filling in for staff on vacation, leave of absence, or sick leave. This position will change worksites regularly and work all over San Diego County. 

Shift:  Monday - Friday  7:00am - 3:30pm

Specific Duties / Essential Functions:

• Cleaning offices, lobbies, and common areas.
• Cleaning and restocking restrooms.
• Empty trash cans around the property and replace trash bags.
• Cleaning corridors and stairwells.
• Removing trash, cleaning floors, dusting/wiping down all surfaces.
• Vacuuming, sweeping and mopping.
• Operating walk-behind floor cleaning machines (if applicable).
• Cleans and polishes furniture, windows, doors, frames, ashtrays, and fixtures .
• Restocking supplies in, bathrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Maintain janitor closet and janitorial equipment in a clean, safe, and operable condition.
• Periodically cleans overhead vents and dust blinds.
• Proficiency in English will enhance your ability to collaborate and communicate with colleagues and clients, ensuring smooth operations.
• Driving personal vehicle to various sites to provide coverage for employees.
• Perform End of Shift Inspections (EOS) following company guidelines, ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are met at the end of each shift.
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned.  

Skills & Experience:

• While not mandatory, proficiency in English is highly recommended to perform the responsibilities of this role effectively. 
• Open availability a plus: Overtime work and schedule adjustments may be needed/necessary. 
• Holiday work may also be required. Holiday pay will be compensated per policy.
• Applicants must provide proof of work authorization and complete an I-9 and E-Verify process. 

Physical Requirements:

• Physically able to be on your feet during an entire shift; walking, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and crouching.
• Must be able to lift 35 lbs, carry 12 lbs backpack vacuum, as needed.

Requirements:

• Must have and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
• Must maintain valid car insurance.
• Must complete pre-employment motor vehicle record check.
