Location: Munster, Indiana (30 minutes from Downtown Chicago)
Position Type: Full-Time, Inpatient and Outpatient
Schedule: Shared Call Rotation (1 in 10; Interventional Call 1 in 6)

About the Opportunity

Avento Health is recruiting a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Interventional Cardiologist to join a well-established, hospital-employed cardiology group in Northwest Indiana.

This position offers the opportunity to join a growing, collegial, and highly collaborative cardiac program that includes general, interventional, electrophysiology, and cardiothoracic services. The role combines a diverse mix of inpatient and outpatient work, supported by advanced facilities and a large referral network.

Located just 30 minutes from downtown Chicago, this position provides the perfect blend of professional growth, supportive infrastructure, and access to world-class urban amenities.

Position Highlights

• Hospital-employed practice model within a respected regional system
• Peripheral and Coronary Interventions with access to advanced cath lab facilities
• Inpatient and outpatient responsibilities across an integrated care network
• Collaborative environment with mentorship from experienced system physicians
• 1:10 general call rotation and 1:6 interventional call
• EPIC EMR - HIMSS Stage VII certified (top 5% nationally)
• Nurse practitioner support in both inpatient and outpatient settings

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified / Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology
• Fellowship-trained in Interventional Cardiology (ACGME-accredited program)
• Eligible for Indiana medical licensure
• Strong procedural and interpersonal skills
