How you'll contribute

An Infection Preventionist who excels in this role:

• Develops systems for identifying, reporting, investigating and controlling infections and communicable diseases.
• Reviews hospital acquired infections utilizing best practices to identify root causes and facilitate process improvement to mitigate risk to future patients.

• Performs and reports surveillance studies using risk stratification and appropriate benchmarking for evaluation of data or ratios. Uses basic statistical techniques to describe data.

What we're looking for
Ideal candidates will have active state license as a Registered Nurse. Will consider candidates with previous Infection Prevention experience with Master's in Public Health (MPH), certified Medical Technologist, or a bachelor's in microbiology or epidemiology.

• Bachelors of nursing degree preferred.
• Infection Control Certification required within 3 years of hire.
• Must possess strong computer skills.

5+ years of experience in a hospital setting or disease surveillance experience in public health setting required.
