Base pay range

$120,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr

JOB OPPORTUNITY:

INDUSTRY: Commercial Banking

POSITION: Accounting Department Head

LOCATION: Manhattan, NY.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Management of Accounting Department

• Administer the Bank's fiscal record keeping including financial control, accounting system management, and accounting activities coordination.
• Provide management with necessary financial reporting and analysis on a department or profit center basis.
• Ensure that all financial reports are prepared and submitted to management and governmental agencies as required on time.
• Rectify all related audit & examination findings within stated period of time.
• Supervise all accounting related staff to ensure accurate & timely entry, closing & balancing of accounts as well as financial statement preparation.
• Periodically review and improve operational policies and procedures to ensure proper internal controls in accounting related areas.
• Train and supervise staff to ensure adherence to GAAP rules and regulations.
• Properly manage the efficiency and productivity of departmental staff.

Overall Management

• Actively participate in Bank’s management & policy making.
• Actively participate in Bank’s business promotion and achieve target, if any.
• Be responsible for the risk management of operations in areas supervised.
• Be responsible for the bank security affairs per regulations.

Others

• Complete other related duties assigned by immediate supervisor from time to time.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 10+ years of accounting experience in commercial bank industry.
• 5+ years of managerial or supervisory experience is preferred.
• Knowledge and working experience of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and regulatory compliance practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Head Office, management and all levels of staff.
• Ability to speak in Chinese preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
