The Fire Extinguisher Technician will be responsible for the maintenance, recharging, repairing, installing, selling, or testing portable fire extinguishers, fixed fire extinguisher systems, or engineered special hazard fire suppression systems. The Technician will be expected to meet weekly service and productivity goals.\n \nThis position is located out of our Charlotte, North Carolina District Office.\n \nJOB RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nManage their time to complete the maximum amount of service calls while maintaining a high level of quality.\nAchieve any weekly productivity goals assigned.\nLearn applicable fire protection codes and obtain the applicable local and/or state licenses.\nWork in a safe manner as outlined by company safety procedures including the driving, personal protective equipment, and lockout/tag-out policies.\nMaintain their vehicle in accordance with company procedures and ensure it is clean and organized.\n\nJOB REQUIREMENTS:\n\nPrior fire extinguisher experience.\nAbility to obtain an ICC/NAFED Portable Fire Extinguisher Technician certification.\nExperience in Kitchen Hood Fire Suppression (preferred but not required)\nKnowledge of applicable inspection and servicing codes (preferred but not required).\nValid driver’s license and a current and sustainable good driving record.\nAbility to sell, communicate effectively, and possess excellent customer service skills is highly preferred.\nAbility to learn and comprehend general electrical safety procedures.
