Our Family Law Firm in Cary, North Carolina is growing and looking for a talented, experienced attorney.
This is not the typical small law firm! Our entrepreneurial law firm is small enough that everyone is a critical part of the Team, yet big enough to offer the security and benefits you want.
We are hiring an experienced Family Law Attorney to help us protect smart people from making stupid decisions when getting divorced. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law, a proven track record of successfully handling cases, and a passion for advocating on behalf of clients facing challenging family-related legal issues. We believe in working hard to settle cases, when at all possible, but we also know that sometimes you have to take issues to Court.
$90,000 - $125,000.
We also have a generous benefits package, including health insurance and 401(k). Responsibilities •Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, spousal support, and child support.
•Understanding how clients' problems are more than a legal problem to them.
•Foster positive relationships with clients and provide excellent customer service.
•Develop a case strategy and provide direction to paralegals and legal assistants.
•Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and agreements.
•Prepare and present cases in court, as well as negotiate settlements when appropriate.
•Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
•Stay up-to-date on changes in family law legislation and regulations.
Qualifications •We are looking for someone who is diligent, conscientious, thorough, and able to deliver high-quality products and services to clients.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
•An attorney at our firm needs to be detail-oriented but also flexible.
•Must be a licensed attorney with the State of North Carolina.
•At least 3-5 years of Family Law Experience strongly preferred.
•Experience managing a full caseload including litigation and separation agreements.
•Demonstrated success in representing clients in family law matters.
•Ability to quickly learn additional software platforms, such as MyCase and Dropbox.
•Strong organizational and attention to detail.
•Time management skills.
•Ability to work independently and on a team.
