POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Experience Concrete Finisher to join our team and contribute to indoor construction projects. Looking for someone who has experience pouring and finishing basement floors, sidewalks and concrete patios. Your attention to detail and expertise in concrete finishing techniques will be essential in achieving high-quality results.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Perform concrete finishing tasks indoors, including smoothing, leveling, and texturing surfaces using hand and power tools.
• Apply various finishing techniques such as troweling, edging, and stamping to achieve desired surface textures and appearances.
• Prepare surfaces for finishing by cleaning, patching, and applying bonding agents as necessary.
• Monitor concrete curing processes and apply curing compounds or sealants to protect finished surfaces.
• Collaborate with other construction team members to ensure proper coordination and sequencing of concrete finishing activities.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
• Maintain and clean tools and equipment after use to ensure they remain in good working condition.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and project managers to provide updates on progress and address any issues or concerns.
• Adhere to project specifications and quality standards to meet or exceed client expectations.
• Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and best practices related to concrete finishing techniques.

NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS

• Proven experience as a Concrete Finisher, preferably in indoor construction settings.
• Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools commonly used in concrete finishing.
• Strong knowledge of concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing techniques.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications related to concrete finishing.
• Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for achieving precise and high-quality finishes.
• Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to safety guidelines and regulations.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues and supervisors.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and technologies in the field of concrete finishing.
