About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its mission of nurturing the creative, visual, and performing arts, with a specific focus on amplifying opportunities for Black and underrepresented communities. The successful candidate will be a dynamic and strategic leader, responsible for ensuring that the organization's programs and partnerships align with its values of diversity, support for artists, and community engagement. This role requires a blend of nonprofit leadership, fundraising, cultural stewardship, and entrepreneurial drive. The Executive Director will lead resource development, external relations, and oversee programming to build authentic partnerships with artists, audiences, tenants, and community members. Key responsibilities for the Executive Director include serving as the public face of the organization, leading strategic planning, and setting annual goals in collaboration with the Board. The role also involves leading fundraising efforts, including the development of an individual giving program and potentially a capital campaign. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record in nonprofit or cultural organization leadership, strong financial management skills, and a deep understanding of the arts ecosystem. They should be an excellent communicator, a skilled manager of people, and have a passion for music, arts, and culture. Experience in venue or property management is preferred, and the candidate should be comfortable with public speaking and community representation.
