DETAILS: Director of Finance Title: Director of Finance LOCATION: Fort Worth, TX ENVIRONMENT: HYBRID (4 days per week in office) COMPENSATION: $165k - $175k plus 20% bonus and a strong benefits package OVERVIEW: Director of Finance We are looking for a Director of Finance to join an industry-leading organization to lead key financial and accounting efforts over Multiple Warehouse / Supply Chain and Logistics / Inventory management. This role will focus on providing financial planning, debt financing, and budget management for this company. The ideal candidate will be able to analyze, understand, and continually improve all accounting procedures for this operation.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Director of Finance - Manages financial assets and safekeeping of the company's material assets.
- Identifies problems, provides optional courses of action, and identifies likely outcomes.
- Analyzes every aspect of company activities and identifies economic weaknesses, prepares reports that will serve as a basis for improving earnings and for reducing risks, and supervises the execution of such plans.
- Monitors and accounts for the flow of investment capital from parent company into subsidiary.
- Makes proposals for efficiency and profit improvements.
- Manages month-end closing processes and reporting including preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- May prepare and submit sales tax returns and works with corporate headquarters on income tax returns and other statistical returns.
- Adapts and develops accounting procedures and policies to keep up with company needs and requirements of the group.
- Manages investment requests and ensures proper control over cash and investments.
- Plans and develops an efficient and effective financial accounting system including: general ledger, cost accounting, inventory accounting, fixed asset accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, financial reporting, and planning and budgeting.
- Ensures system of internal controls are effective, always looking for continuous improvement
- Arranges and controls periodic physical inventories.
- Prepares reports, which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
- Manages budget preparation, budget proposals, and prepares supporting documentation and justification.
- Assists with audits of Company accounts.
- Coordinates insurance requirements and risk management
REQUIREMENTS: Director of Finance - 10+ Years in a financial and accounting roles, minimum 3-5 in leadership positions.
- Has worked in FP&A leadership and Accounting management positions or controlling
- Holds a Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or a related field (mandatory), and an MBA and/or CPA (preferred)
- Has a proven track record of creating business plans, budgets, and forecasts
- Possesses expertise in financial & operational variance analysis
- Skilled in maintaining effective internal controls
- Has a proven record of managing accounting practices and procedures
- Has advanced Excel skills
