We are growing and recently opened a new shop in Gahanna, OH. We need experienced, self-reliable mechanics to troubleshoot, repair, and diagnose heavy diesel equipment.

Diesel Truck Mechanic Pay : $24/hr. + (depending on experience)

Diesel Truck Mechanic Shift: 7:00am – 3:00pm; Monday - Friday

Diesel Truck Mechanic Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair standard mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Examples of equipment Street Sweepers, Cleaners, Hydro Excavation, Grapple Trucks, Plows, and other specialized machinery.
• Perform scheduled maintenance, safety inspections and preventive care on equipment to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
• Conduct thorough inspections and document all repair and maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with the operations team to ensure the timely delivery of equipment to clients.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Diesel Truck Mechanic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent, with additional technical training or certification in heavy equipment mechanics preferred.
• Minimum 2-5 years of hands-on experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic software.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to identify and resolve complex issues
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with colleagues and clients
• Valid driver's license and the ability to operate a variety of heavy equipment.
• Forklift certification required.
• Welding experience is a plus.
• Must have your own hand tools.
• Ability and willingness to complete manufacturer training.
