As a Data Scientist at Thatch, you’ll be at the forefront of using data to transform the healthcare benefits landscape. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams as a full stack data scientist: building scalable data pipelines, improving metrics and analytics, developing ML and optimization models, and providing insights that inform key business decisions. Your work will directly impact how we improve our platform and deliver value to employers and employees alike. What you'll do Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization Apply and deploy a wide variety of statistical methods including experimentation, causal inference, and ML to solve complex business problems Create data visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights to stakeholders Transform and clean data from multiple sources into scalable data pipelines Work closely with product and engineering teams to improve the platform and integrate data-driven solutions Stay current with the latest advancements in data science and ML techniques Background we're looking for Master’s or PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field 5+ years of experience in a data science role, preferably in a fast-paced tech environment Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages Expertise in statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization Experience with SQL and distributed frameworks like Spark Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex findings into actionable insights Experience we’d be particularly excited about Previous work in the healthcare or fintech industries Experience with data privacy and security regulations What to expect Our interview process is rigorous and reflects our emphasis on integrity, talent, and drive.
