This person will be responsible for finding and sharing compelling stories for Cox Medical Center Branson and surrounding clinics that highlight CoxHealth’s Mission, Vision and Values. The communications coordinator will be part of the Corporate Communications team that serves CoxHealth’s systemwide communications functions. The coordinator will play a key role in internal communications, media relations and social media for the Branson area and the health system overall. This includes: Working with the broader Corporate Communications team to manage employee communications through the Cox Medical Center Branson intranet, digital signage boards and communication boards (with support from administration), and contributing to Connect Daily email and system publications as needed. Working with the broader Corporate Communications team to coordinate media activity, both proactive and reactive, for Cox Medical Center Branson. This includes escorting media on campus, coordinating interviews and photos, writing contributed articles, etc. Writing press releases, pitches and stories highlighting positive news and updates from Cox Medical Center Branson. Writing and contributing content for the Cox Medical Center Branson Facebook page and CoxHealth social channels overall on behalf of Branson. The coordinator will work to create content that reinforces Cox Medical Center Branson’skey narratives, while also supporting CoxHealth’s systemwide communication strategy. The position will require travel between CoxHealth’s Branson and Springfield campuses (for meetings and strategy coordination, etc.). Job Requirements Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, Public relations or related field Experience Preferred: 2 years experience in media relations, public relations, communications, journalism, or related field. Experience in a health system setting is also preferred. Skills Attention to Detail: Ability to accomplish/complete a task while demonstrating a thorough concern for all the details involved, no matter how small. Proactiveness: Ability to think through upcoming needs of projects, assignments and tasks to assist the communications team and CoxHealth overall.
