THE TEAM
The School of Traditional Skills is an online education based company that focuses on teaching and equipping people with the skills needed to live a healthy sustainable life. We do this by creating useful and engaging content that helps individuals develop the necessary skills to achieve this goal. We also strive to continue to grow and develop ourselves so that we are able to produce the best content for our customers, engaging them in meaningful and purposeful ways.
Our Copywriter will be an integral part of our marketing team, collaborating on sales funnel strategy and development. You will produce compelling copy for ads, landing pages, email sales flows, sales pages, and other marketing materials. Your copy will inspire our audience and drive sales of our classes and membership program to meet company goals.
The successful candidate will have a passion for understanding our target audience and ideal customer. Working closely with the marketing team, you will develop messaging that resonates with and motivates our ideal customer, while aligning with our brand guidelines. You will show a deep understanding of our customers' needs and demonstrate how our product can transform their lives.
The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in Direct Response Marketing with a heavy focus on email copy that engages and converts. In addition, you must have a solid understanding of strategies and funnels for marketing online educational products. This is not e-commerce! A solid understanding of why people pursue homesteading and traditional skills is essential. Direct experience with homesteading and traditional skills is a HUGE plus!
5+ years experience in direct response copywriting (email focus).
Proven ability to write effective B2C copy for online education.
Strong research skills to understand target audience, their problems, and how our product provides solutions.
Demonstrated ability to connect with the target audience emotionally and intellectually.
Detail-oriented with ability to deliver high-quality work, sometimes under tight deadlines and high volume.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work productively and independently as part of a remote team.
