Description

The Cook at Plum Market Food Service – Columbus Airport is responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality food in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. This position requires strong attention to detail, consistency, and a commitment to food safety standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a team-oriented setting and takes pride in delivering an exceptional culinary experience for travelers and guests alike.

Who You Are

• You have at least 1 year of experience in a kitchen or food preparation role.
• You are dependable, organized, and able to multitask in a high-volume environment.
• You have knowledge of cooking techniques, proper food handling, and sanitation procedures.
• You can follow recipes, portion standards, and presentation expectations consistently.
• You work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with others.
• You are flexible and available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Prior experience in airport or travel-related food service is a plus.
• ServSafe or equivalent certification preferred.

What You Will Do

• Prepare menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
• Ensure all food is made with attention to quality, freshness, and safety.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area throughout each shift.
• Follow all health, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Work collaboratively with both back-of-house and front-of-house teams to meet service goals.
• Restock and rotate ingredients and supplies as needed.
• Report any maintenance or food supply concerns to your Supervisor promptly.
• Assist with daily opening and closing kitchen duties.

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for up to 4 hours without a break.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs.
• Perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
• Work in varying temperatures.

Morning shifts.
