Fetch Staffing Solutions is filling a unique Controller opportunity for a large non-profit based in Atlanta. Our client is seeking a senior financial leader responsible for the integrity, accuracy, and efficiency of all accounting operations overseeing a team of 10 support staff. This role is responsible for general ledger functions, financial reporting, month- and year-end close, grant and fund compliance, and payroll oversight. You will serve as the primary architect of financial controls and reporting systems and will play a critical role in advancing NetSuite optimization and integrations with ADP, Salesforce, and Concur.

The ideal candidate is a licensed CPA with deep nonprofit accounting experience, strong NetSuite proficiency, and a hands-on leadership style capable of mentoring a high-performing, cross-functional team. This position is expected to report to the office 4 days/week.

Responsibilities:

Accounting & Financial Oversight

• Lead and manage all accounting operations, including month-end and year-end close, reconciliations, accruals, and general ledger management.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP, nonprofit accounting standards, and internal policies.
• Produce timely, accurate, and meaningful financial reports for executive leadership and board stakeholders.

Grants, Endowments, and Fund Compliance

• Oversee federal and state grant accounting, ensuring full compliance with Uniform Guidance and grant-specific requirements.
• Track and manage restricted, unrestricted, and endowment funds within NetSuite.
• Collaborate with programmatic and grants teams on invoicing, drawdowns, and financial reporting.

Systems Optimization & Process Improvement

• Serve as the finance lead for NetSuite utilization, driving adoption of modules such as obligations, dashboards, and indirect cost tracking.
• Ensure systems integration and clean data flow with Salesforce, ADP, and Concur.
• Identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and transparency.

Team Leadership & Internal Controls:

• Supervise a lean team of accountants and specialists across payroll, grants, and general accounting.
• Ensure clear segregation of duties and appropriate internal controls across all financial workflows.
• Lead annual audits and compliance reviews, including preparation of audit schedules and coordination with external auditors.
• Establish and maintain SOPs and performance metrics to support continuous improvement and accountability.

Required Qualifications

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in nonprofit settings.
• At least 5 years of supervisory experience with cross-functional finance teams.
• Demonstrated success managing federal grant compliance and restricted fund accounting.
• Deep experience with NetSuite, including dashboards, modules, and reporting tools.
• Familiarity with ADP, Salesforce, and Concur preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200), and nonprofit reporting requirements.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $125,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
