Job Description

We have partnered with a wonderful, family-owned and operated construction company that has been operating in Delaware for over 60 years! They are seeking an experienced project manager to join their team. They are primarily seeking candidates in the Dover, DE area but candidates in Greater Wilmington, DE will be considered as well. Key Responsibilities: Develop detailed project budgets based on scope, design, and timeline requirements. Oversee day-to-day project operations to ensure alignment with objectives and client expectations. Coordinate and track project activities to ensure milestones and deliverables are met on time and within budget. Monitor procurement and material delivery schedules to prevent delays and ensure timely availability. Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to expedite orders and maintain smooth workflow. Track and manage project expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets. Conduct cost analysis and implement cost control measures to minimize overruns. Evaluate subcontractor bids, negotiate contracts, and ensure pricing aligns with budget forecasts. Review and approve invoices, change orders, and purchase orders in coordination with the finance team. Prepare and maintain accurate project forecasts throughout the project lifecycle. Monitor financial performance against forecasts and report on key variances. Anticipate potential financial risks or cost increases and develop mitigation plans. Qualifications: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience in the industry. Strong attention to detail with excellent accuracy in reviewing documents and project materials. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
