Position Summary:

As a key member of our team, you will provide clinical expertise, education, consultation, leadership, and research in selected clinical areas. Your work will directly benefit patients, staff, and the organization while promoting compliance with regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead educational initiatives to enhance specialized patient care in Intensive Care and Step Down Units.
  • Assess and improve the quality of care for specific patient populations.
  • Coordinate and implement nursing staff orientation and monitor progress.
  • Collaborate with medical providers and staff to develop and deliver educational curricula.
  • Monitor trends and implement educational strategies to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Provide clinical practice interventions that improve outcomes and patient satisfaction.
  • Participate in research and apply findings to advance clinical practice.
  • Act as a positive role model and advocate for staff development and patient care.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a current Registered Nurse license in Connecticut. BSN required; Master’s Degree preferred (matriculation required after one year).
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in clinical practice, nursing education, or nursing management in an acute care setting.
  • Competencies: Strong leadership, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
