Job Summary and Qualifications

Our Clinical Lab Scientists (level II) perform clinical testing in one or more of the following areas: blood bank, chemistry, serology, hematology, urinalysis, coagulation, special chemistry, microbiology and manual tests. Our team is amazing, we consider ourselves a family who work hard to support each other and we are looking for someone who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. • You will perform automated, semi-automated and manual procedures in the fields of bacteriology, parasitology, hematology, coagulation, serology, chemistry, urinalysis, immunology, and immunohematology. According to established procedures and policies
• You will perform preventative maintenance on laboratory instrumentation, interpret results as to their accuracy, acceptability and critical limits and organizes work to meet established deadlines and record all data obtained
• You will work actively and be cooperative with nursing and other hospital staff to ensure timely patient care as well as assist with regulatory compliance
• You will be responsible for training lab personnel and are expected to perform in-charge assignment in the absence of a manager

What qualifications you will need:

• Current Clinical Laboratory Scientist license per CA State Board required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or equivalent from an accredited college or university required
• Minimum five years experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist required
