Pay: $19/hr + Mileage reimbursementThe Care Companion is responsible for engaging members (clients) in service by providing direct care to increase socialization and connect to community and resources in the designated community! Provide provision of direct client services, including LSS Healthy Transitions and similar services, under the supervision of a certified staff member.Qualifications & Requirements:Ability to work well with diverse individuals, families, groups and organizations and demonstrate compassion, patience, flexibility and respect for others.Provide regular in-home/telephonic visits to members and provide transportation in the community as needed.Have dependable transportation and be willing to transport members in your vehicle.Computer skills, bookkeeping, computer spreadsheets and word processing skills required.Excellent communication and customer service abilities required.Organizational skills, problem-solving and the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.A valid driver's license, a clean driving record and background checks are required.Lutheran Social Service MN is a dynamic social service organization serving children, youth and families, people with disabilities, older adults and military veterans.
