Your Opportunity We are looking to expand our Northern California archaeological team. This position can be based out of any of our North‑Californian offices and will report to a Staff Supervisor. It allows remote work; however, applicants should expect to spend time in the office throughout the year. Work consists predominantly of cultural review and report writing for utility projects throughout California. After a three‑month trial period, there will be an opportunity for a full‑time benefited position if expectations are met. Alternative position types may be available for those seeking more flexibility. Your Key Responsibilities Write CRM desktop reviews, reports, and records. Identify and record areas of archaeological potential, sites, and traditional use sites. Collaborate with senior staff to make technical recommendations for various projects. Process field data and work with the GIS team to visualize pertinent information. Your Capabilities and Credentials Experience in CRM. Demonstrated commitment to a strong safety culture. Proven experience writing CRM reviews and reports. Provide at least two CRM report writing samples if selected for an interview. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology or Archaeology. Minimum of one year related writing experience in CRM. Preferred Regulatory experience. Experience with California DPR 523 forms. Previous experience in cultural monitoring, survey, and excavation. Participation in an archaeological field school. Advanced degree.
